Background and Personal Life
Anthony’s father was an Australian called Frederick Perry who left Anthony’s family when he was four, prompting Anthony to change his name to Wong, his mother’s surname. Anthony is married and has two sons.

Acting Career
Anthony’s acting career began he joined ATV’s training program and enrolled in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His first acting role was in the 1984 movie Eternal Combat. He went on to act in a number of TV series and movies and eventually shot to fame in his roles as a cannibal serial killer in the 1993 movie The Untold Story.
Initially in his career he was type cast as the villain because his mixed heritage was obvious in his appearance. Anthony acted in a large number of movies and TV series in the 80’s and 90’s and he thinks many of these movies were poor and exploitive with Raped by an Angel 4 (1999) as a classic example. With a wife, mother and two sons to support, Anthony had no regrets about appearing in these movies.
After his initial success in The Untold Story, Anthony had another breakthrough performance in the 1994 action movie Rock n’Roll Cop and soon after starred in three movies from the hit series Young and Dangerous. He proved him self to be a talented and versatile actor with a succession of hit movies such as the 1995 The Tenant and is arguably Hong Kong’s top supporting actor.
