Twins was highly successful in Hong Kong and China with music mainly targeted at the teen market. Twins split in 2008 due to Gillian’s involvement in the Edison Chan photo scandal and formed a gain in 2010.

After Y2K her next major screen appearance was in the 2001 movie “Funeral March” which had excellent reviews and earned her a best new artist nomination.  Her next two break through roles were in the 2003 movie “Diva – Ah Hey” and the 2006 psychological thriller “Diary”. She has since had major roles in box office hits such as the 2009 “Storm Warriors” with Eason Chan and Aaron Kwok and the 2011 movie “Sorcerer and the White Snake” with Jet Li.

Personal Life

She secretly married Hong Kong actor Ronald Cheng in 2006 after they met in 2004 on the set of the movie “Hidden Heroes and they later divorced in 2010. The suspected cause of the divorce was her husband’s pursuit of actress Angelababy on the set of the 2010 movie “Happy Home”. Angelababy was in a relationship with another EEG actor William Chan.

William Chan and Charlene Choi often worked together as EEG actors and developed became a couple after working together in the 2010 movie “Beauty on Duty”.
