Story
Zhipeng is a 19 year old living with his single mother and grandmother in a traditional courtyard house I one of Beijing’s hutongs. Zhipeng is crazy about the sport parkour (modern movements and gymnastic like stunts performed on the streets) and neglects studying for his university entrance examinations.
Zhipeng’s preoccupation with parkour distresses his mother who has been raising him on her own for the last 10 years. When Luo loses her job as a laundry worker, she forbids Zhipeng to practice parkour until he passes the exams and helps the family financially. This causes a clash between Zhipeng and his mother and Zhipeng is forced to choose between parkour and his exams.
