China is in the midst of it’s worst heave wave in history and romantic fever is breaking out all over the country with couples from Hong Kong all the way up to Beijing falling in love. The film follows the lives of 5 couples as they sweat their way through a sweltering heat wave and their romances and relationships develop. These relationships range from a young Chinese village boy wooing a factory girl with his dedication to a Hong Kong air conditioner repair man and a Shenzhen foot masseuse he is texting.

You cannot see it in the beginning of the movie but all of these relationships are connected and interrelated.
