Acting Career
Before starting his acting career Louis Koo had a shady past and was in jail for 22 months for robbery. After being released from Jail Louis decided that with his limited formal education that his best career option was in entertainment. He started of as a fashion model and a MTV karaoke actor and began more serious acting after being awarded a contract with TVB in 1993.
His TV career was extremely successful and he starred in a number of hit series such as The Condor Heroes 95 (1995), Detective Investigation Files IV (1999) and A Step Into The Past (2001). Louis Koo’s movie career took off in the early 2000’s and his versatility and ability to play a variety of roles that range from cool and funny to serious and sensitive earned him immense popularity. He has acted alongside movie legends such as Jacky Chan, Donny Yen and Lau Ching-wan in a number of hit movies.
