Editor's Review of Shaolin
The back stabbing and betrayal make an excellent story and the filming of the movie in the actual Shaolin Temple creates an excellent atmosphere. Andy Lau is cool and suave as always with a excellent supporting cast that includes Jacky Chan as the cook who can't fight. The only real weakness is the ending which is over dramatized and unrealistic. The bombing of the Shaolin Monastery and colorful explosions is a highlight of the film.
