Plot
Donaka runs an illegal fight club in Hong Kong and is looking for a star fighter after one of his fights is busted by Hong Kong police. He sees Chen Linhu on TV demonstrating his school’ls Tai Chi and is impressed by his innovative and dynamic moves. Donaka tries to recruit Chen but Chen refuses because he considers underground fighting to be dishonourable. Chen finally agrees to compete when the temple that hosts his school faces demolition unless costly repairs can be made.  Chen’s extraordinary strength, ability and fighting skills allow him to win his fights but he starts to lose himself to bloodlust and finds his inner self being corrupted by violence.

Plot
After the fall of the Qing Dynasty social unrest plagues China so the Imperial Court collects gold from local governments to expand the army. Plot

Plot
Chang, Wang and Meng are friends with very different personalities that share a common dream.  Meng is pedantic, pretentious and boastful of his glorious future, Wang is a bohemian who uses pop culture to seduce women and Cheng is a country bumpkin with thick skin and an unshakeable belief in himself. Meng goes to the US to make his fortune while Wang and Cheng stay in China and eventually open the New Dream English language school which is a hit. Meng returns to join them and together, they make New Dream an enormous success and themselves very rich.

Unfortunately for the three friends their school becomes involved in a scandal and they are accused by the US government of using deception in their schools international English exams. Their commitment to each other and their dreams is tested as the scandal deepens.

Plot
Fai is a Chinese family man who crosses the border into Hong Kong every day to work as a chauffer for Anna who is a wealthy socialite. When Fai’s wife Ting Ting is pregnant with their second child, he is faced with a problem. A family is legally only able to have one child in China and he will have to pay a very large fine for their second child. Unable to pay the fine Fai plans to bring Ting Ting to Hong Kong to give birth. An almost impossible task given the government crackdown on cross border births.

Anna is also facing a crisis with the disappearance of her husband Leo. One night after a party Anna discovers the husband has disappeared, his office has been emptied, her credit cards cancelled and she is suddenly without support. Desperate not to loose face, Anna keeps up appearances by throwing parties and entertaining her friends. She eventually has to face reality when her husband sends real estate agents to her home.

Plot
“Stolen Goods” – Kwan is an bad tempered and unpleasant low income labourer who keeps losing jobs and is very bitter about his inability to pay his bills. In effort to make ends meet, Kwan starts stealing cremation urns from their resting places and ransoming them to the families of the deceased.

“Word in a Palm” – Master Ho is a fortune teller who is investigating an occult disturbance where a teenage ghost is haunting her past swimming teacher. Master Ho is helped by his colleague Sis Lan who is a new age crystal seller.

“Jing Zhe” – Chu’s job is a type of folk sorcery where a person curses some one by hitting human shaped papers with a shoe. Plot
Ching Fai is a retired MMA boxer who flees Hong Kong to avoid debt collectors and ends up getting a job as an assistant trainer at a local gym. Ching also sublets a room in an apartment new the gym that is shared by Ming Jun and her 10 year old daughter Pui Dan. Ming Jun is mentally unstable after a recent family tragedy and Pui Dan has seen more hardship than any girl her age. The third key player in the movie is Lin Si-Qi, a down on his luck young man who works as a day labourer after his family lost their fortune on a speculative real estate deal.

To help his father gain a bit of back bone and stand up for himself, Lin joins a high profile MMA tournament that starts in two months. Desperate to train, Lin starts working out at Ching’s Ching and asks Ching to be his teacher after he learns of Ching’s background as an MMA fighter.

Plot

Plot

Plot
