Editor’s Review of Executioners – Score 3/10
This movie is incredibly cheap, has a bad story full of plot holes, cheesy and filmed in a grey grim manner that is just depressing. Despite dynamic fighting scenes and a brilliant cast, Executioners starts badly, stays bad and finishes badly. The only reason you don’t fast forward to the end is you are hoping that Maggie Cheung, Anita Mui and Michelle Yeoh can some how salvage this movie and make it watchable. Unfortunately despite being brilliant actresses, even they can’t save Executioners. This movie was shot, edited, finished and released just seven months after The Heroic Trio which may explain why it is so appalling.
