Editor's Review of Painted Skin: The Resurrection – 6/10
With three of China’s best actresses, the cast for Painted skin was excellent. The main problem with this movie is it focused more on imagery and settings and had a very surreal atmosphere. The action was minimal, romance minimal and characters were not very deep. Another negative point was Yang Mi’s sulky and childish role which did not fit the character of a heart eating bird demon.
