Editor’s Review of The Deadly Duo – Score 4/10
The Deadly Duo is a Chinese version of the cheap mass produced spaghetti westerns that were so popular in the 60’s and 70’s. There are zero special effects, the props, fake blood and death scenes are laughable and the fighting look mind bogglingly fake. Hard to see how the actors can take themselves seriously when so little effort is made to make the movie believable.
To the film’s credit, in the early 1970’s there were minimal special effects computer graphics did not exist so audiences at the time were much less critical and spoilt.
